Adela Garcia Documentary Due Out 2010!

Author Scott York - [3 Mar 2010]

In 2008 the career of one of the most dynamic performers in professional fitness competition seemed to be over.
Adela Garcia, three time winner of the fitness Olympia, had to undergo reconstructive knee surgery.
What followed was one of the most inspiring comebacks in the sport. Not only did Adela return to competition but she won the 2009 Europa and the 2009 Olympia.
Compiled from over two years of footage, Mike Pulcinella Video Productions is creating the DVD that tells the story of Adela’s long and painful road back to the top.

I began filming footage for this documentary a few years ago.

I had no idea of what was going to become of this footage.

Would it be a monthly dvd, a fitness video or a documentary?

Some amazing trials and tribulations took place during the filming of this soon  …

Steve Reeves

Author Scott York - [22 Feb 2010]

This is a post about me, my friends Joe Vitale and George Helmer and of course, Steve Reeves.

I began bodybuilding in 1985 after seeing a magazine with Bob Paris on the cover.

I was standing in the checkout line of the grocery store.

It was Spring.

I needed some motivation.

I played football in High School.

But now that I was just out of High School, I was not doing much physically.

Of course I was still eating the same amount of calories daily as when I played football.

But now those calories were sticking with me instead of being burned off through football practice, lifting and running.

So I needed to find something to do.

And I noticed the Muscle and Fitness magazine cover.

I bought that issue, took it home and devoured it from cover to cover.

I joined Gold’s Gym there in Waco,  …

Kevin Livingston and Pedal Hard Training Studio

Author Scott York - [6 Dec 2009]

Kevin Livingston is a badass cyclist.

He helped lead the charge up the mountains in France in 1999 for the U.S. Postal Team.

He helped Lance Armstrong, his teammate, win the 1999 Tour De France.

Kevin is a 6 time Tour De France finisher.

That speaks for itself as far as how hard Kevin is able to push himself mentally and physically to accomplish his fitness or business goals.

I had the opportunity to hang out with Kevin recently at his training studio called “Pedal Hard” in Austin, Texas.

Here’s a man who is following his passion.

Check out  the video with Monica Brant and Kevin in his Pedal Hard Training Studio.

Make sure to watch the last couple of minutes when Kevin is reliving the mountain climb in the 99 Tour De France.

It’s amazing and inspirational!

SRV Remember

Author Scott York - [27 Aug 2009]

This post has nothing to do with marketing.

Or does it?

19 years ago today, we lost the greatest modern era blues guitar player, Stevie Ray Vaughan.

That’s Joe Vitale and Craig Hopkins in the photo at top.

Craig Hopkins is the president of Stevie’s fan club and just released a book about Stevie Ray Vaughan called, “Day By Day, Night After Night”.

The book is a beautiful hardcover monster and weighs about 5 pounds.

It has every possible known fact about Stevie Ray’s life.

Joe got it for me and had Craig autograph it to me.

I read the book straight through.

It’s amazing.

And it has never before seen photos.

Stevie Ray followed his passion.

“At age 7, Stevie Ray acquired his first guitar -  a Sears toy guitar with only 3 strings.”

He went on to become a multiple Grammy award winning musician.

Craig Hopkins follows  …
