Sure, they’re on different paths but both of these guys have had plans to get to where they are.

They’ve both had a tremendous amount of success.

Joe is a best selling author, is a marketing genius, has appeared in some popular movies such as, “The Secret” and has a million dollar car collection (and growing).

Lee Priest is one of (if not the) most popular pro bodybuilders in the world.  Lee has traveled the world and has had some amazing adventures.

He’s been sponsored by some of the biggest names in the fitness industry such as:  Twinlab, MuscleTech, Muscular Development, Muscle Mag, and the list goes on and on.

Having a plan has been instrumental in both of these men’s success.

Here’s an important list of characteristics that describe people who won’t fulfill his/her destiny.

Some of these have been put in bold print because they may pertain to some of us in the fitness industry who are unhappy with our current situations but aren’t willing to change.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THOSE WHO WILL FALL BY THE WAYSIDE

. Will not listen to supervisors.
. Didn’t have business role models or mentors.
. Don’t see the merits in being a mentor to others.

. Make a lot of excuses.
. Are not prepared.
. Cannot wait.
. Think they know better ways.
. Seek to rise too fast.
. Would rather be an executive “doing the work”
. Think they will get rich quick.
. Don’t respect authority or the process.
. Don’t see the merit of continuing education or training.
. Won’t pay dues…in the office, in the community and in business organizations.
. Don’t learn how or why to research.
. Persist in gossiping and blaming.
. Insufficient life experiences.
. Don’t have a plan for life or career.

The good news is that we all have the ability to change our current situations in life.

Starting today, starting right now.

One of the first steps, according to Joe Vitale, is to “focus on what  you want, not on what you don’t want”.

So if you’re stuck in a job that you hate don’t focus on the fact that you’re stuck in a job that you hate.

Focus on what you do want - a successful fitness industry entrepreneur who “works” when you want, has steady streams of income, and is fulfilled.

Those feelings, those thoughts will in turn, provide nudges and opportunities that you must be looking for.
