With A Little Help From My Friends

Author Scott York - [24 Mar 2009]

The largest fitness magazine in the Austin, Texas area is Austin Fit Magazine.

The upcoming issue is their “green” issue.

So it makes sense to have Joe Vitale on the cover and in the issue with his $200,000 hydrogen powered Scorpion - which is a beast of a car.

That’s Joe Vitale, author Craig Hopkins and Stevie Ray Vaughan (on the cover of the book).

The book is called, “Day By Day, Night After Night“

It’s the most comprehensive book about blues guitar player, Stevie Ray Vaughn ever written.

The book weighs almost 5 pounds.

Joe picked it up for me this past weekend at Austin, Texas annual music festival, South by Southwest, and had it autographed to me by the author, Craig Hopkins.

Man, what a friend.

I cannot wait to check out this book.

I’ve said it before, but it’s  …

How To Easily Create An Information Based Business In Body Building, Fitness And Figure

Author Scott York - [13 Mar 2009]

Despite economy woes, thanks to technology and the Internet, it has become very easy to make money in bodybuilding and fitness by making your expertise available in the form of digital information products like ebooks, DVDs, CDs, fitness manuals etc.

I’m doing it.

Monica Brant is doing it.

Adela Garcia is doing it.

And so should you.

My friend, Joe Vitale, is a bestselling author, speaker and appeared in the the hit movie, “The Secret”. He’s been on The Donny Deutsch Show and Larry King Live – twice.
Success only came to Joe, once he started following his passion of writing books and creating information products.

That’s Joe and his 2008 Rolls Royce Phantom.

He’s living the life of his dreams, following his passion and helping others to do the same.

But at one point in his life, he was homeless  …

Are You Growing Your Network Vertically or Horizontally?

Author Scott York - [2 Mar 2009]

This is a rant…

There are a lot of self professed “gurus” in the business of fitness.

These “gurus” encourage you to grow your network, go out meet new people, shake hands, pass out business cards, etc. in order to get new customers for your fitness business.

Been there, done that.

In most cases, this is more of a “what’s in it for me?” ego type of futile exercise.

Once again, been there, done that.

What I would ask these “gurus” is how are YOU growing YOUR network?

He’s been on many TV shows and in a couple of hit movies.

He’ s written many books.

But what WE do that separates US from what others do is that we aim higher.

Joe just posted a blog about having lunch with the author of  …

Author Scott York - [27 Feb 2009]

Arnold is and always will be committed to bodybuilding.

In fact, The Arnold Classic will be held for the numerous time in Columbus, Ohio during the weekend of March 6-8th.

Over 100,000 thousand people will flood the Convention Center to be part of this event.

I was there in 2007 at the MuscleMag booth with Lee Priest and it was a wild, wild circus.

But that’s a story for another time.

Back to Arnold.

Arnold has conquered every challenge that stood before him.

Coming to America, learning the English language, getting his degree, buying real estate, bodybuilding, aligning himself with powerful people, Hollywood, politics, etc.

Tony Little is a trainer whose got a ponytail and an infomercial.

Here’s a secret.

A lot of personal trainers are afraid of bodybuilders.

Not because of their superior dedication in the gym, hyper muscularity or working knowledge of the body.

But because, some personal trainers know  …

Print Publishing Under Pressure…

Author Scott York - [19 Feb 2009]

“The world of print publishing is under pressure. Ad revenue is going down; sales are decreasing. Readers seem more and more determined to consume content online and less and less willing to pay for print. Even the price of paper has gone up.”

With the release of the Kindle 2 and the growing popularity of online publishing it’s a great time to be thinking of how to strike and take advantage of this huge opportunity…
